There is a list of benefits you can enjoy once you become a US citizen. It includes but is not limited to the following basic privileges in comparison to an entry visa or even Green Card holders.
* - You, your family and your assets are protected by the US Government and you receive help and assistance by US Embassies abroad. You can not be deported from and refused an entry into the USA. And you dont' have to renew your citizenship once you are granted it.
 *- You can travel to most countries without spending time and money to obtain an entry visa.
* - You can reside outside of the USA long time without revocation of your US citizenship. Moreover, if you want to retire in other country than the USA, you are still subject to all Social Security benefits.
 *- Once you become a US citizen and have children under 18 years of age, they automatically become US citizens. Plus the procedures of inviting your family members from abroad are easier and quicker and eventually they can apply for US citizenship as well.
* - You receive additional (in comparison to Green Card holders) employment benefits. You may apply for many jobs in federal, state and local government institutions which require a US citizenship. Even in private business certain jobs require a US citizenship. And you are fully eligible to certain tax exemptions, grants, scholarships and other types of financial assistance.
* - And you can take part in shaping of the future of this country having the right to vote in elections and run for elected post.
